About Jayanti Memorial Trust
Helping cardiac patients through out Nepal.
The Trust was established in memory of HRH Princess Jayanti Shah, the daughter of HRH the Late Prince Basundhara Bikram Shah and HRH Princess Helen Shah and the granddaughter of His Late Majesty King Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah Dev.
Princess Jayanti established the Nepal Cancer Relief Society in September 1982. Her efforts led to the institution of a tax on cigarettes, which helped in funding the Kingdom's first cancer hospital.
